Virtual TV+Film Community Forum Recap

Social distancing has caused all of us to alter our way of living in a multitude of capacities. From figuring out ways to fill the day with activities, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and, above all else, taking precautionary measures to stay safe. At Catapult, we’ve also been adjusting to this new temporary way of living, by exploring more virtual opportunities to not only support our staff + coaches but to also continue to connect with our community and provide beneficial ways for actors to maintain working on their craft.

Aside from creating virtual workshops and classes, we’re so excited to be providing a weekly free webinar series to provide encouragement and insight during this uncertain time. Last Thursday, we kicked off this webinar series with our Virtual TV/Film Community Forum with special guests, casting directors Erica Arvold and Olubajo Sonubi, Joy Pervis with J Pervis Talent Agency, director Caroline Slaughter, producer Sara Elizabeth Timmins, and working actor Anthony Dalton, hosted by Catapult Founder Erik Lingvall. We were overwhelmed by the positive responses from our attendees! The conversation covered everything from content creation, daily motivation, audition perspectives, and mainly, how to maintain a positive outlook during quarantine + COVID-19. If you missed out, tune in this Thursday for our next installment in our Virtual Free Parent Seminar: How to Navigate The Entertainment Industry In Our Current Climate with special guests, Disney Channel star Will Buie Jr. + his wonderful mom Nicole, and LA Manager Margot Menzel with Luber Roklin Entertainment.
