Nearly all Catapult instructors and coaches are working actors. Class and workshop instructors could change at any time, and/or substitutes could fill in for lead coach as needed, without change to the Catapult curriculum or progression of the class. No credits or refunds will be given for this reason as Catapult only allows changes with qualified and internally trained coaches. In the event that quarantine or other like situation should take place, workshops + classes will continue virtually via Zoom. The cancellation policy above will still apply.

Attendance + MISSED CLASSES

Consistent attendance is essential to an actor’s growth and to maintaining the integrity of the class experience. Students are expected to attend regularly in order to progress, build confidence, and move through our levels of study.

Missed classes are non-refundable, and make-up classes are not offered. If you or your actor will miss two or more consecutive weeks, we strongly recommend scheduling a private coaching session with your instructor to stay on track. Please notify your instructor of any absences as soon as possible.

Missing three (3) or more classes in the Fall semester, or two (2) or more classes in the Spring semester, will result in ineligibility for the Spring Showcase unless private coaching sessions are scheduled to make up missed material.

Please note that Catapult coaches are independent contractors and are not able to provide additional recap or instruction outside of scheduled class time. It is the responsibility of the actor and family to review all class recap emails and complete any assigned homework.

SPRING SHOWCASE ELIGIBILITY

The Spring Showcase is designed as both an educational experience and a professional opportunity. It serves as a culminating event where actors apply their training in a real-world setting and audition for a select group of top agents and/or managers invited by Catapult to scout new talent.

Each April, Catapult hosts this highly curated Showcase, and participation is considered a significant annual milestone within our training program. Eligibility is earned through consistent commitment, professionalism, and growth throughout the year.

To be considered for the Spring Showcase, students must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Be enrolled in both Fall and Spring semesters at Catapult (or be enrolled in Conservatory)
  • Complete Spring registration by the stated deadline (typically mid-December)
  • Maintain consistent attendance, not exceeding the allotted absences (maximum of three for the Fall semester and two for the Spring semester unless supplemented with private coaching)
  • Demonstrate strong class engagement, including preparation, focus, and completion of all assigned work
  • Exhibit professionalism, respect, and the ability to contribute positively to the class environment
  • Meet all administrative deadlines, including RSVP and participation confirmations as communicated via email

Students must remain actively enrolled in a weekly class at Catapult throughout both semesters to be eligible.

Final Showcase participation is determined at Catapult’s discretion based on each actor’s readiness, growth, and overall professionalism. Catapult reserves the right to adjust eligibility requirements and make exceptions on a case-by-case basis in alignment with the best interests of the actor and the program.

Class Calendar and Severe Weather

Catapult Acting, LLC generally follows metro-Atlanta public schools calendars which includes the metro counties Dekalb, Gwinnett, Fulton, and Cobb. All class dates can be found in our class registration system.

In the event of inclement weather, the studio typically closes when Dekalb County closes because our Studio is in Dekalb. However, final decisions will be communicated directly via email and/or phone. We do everything we can to host class in person.

Please check for updates before coming to class if weather conditions are questionable. Makeup classes or credits will not be offered for cancellations due to inclement weather. Makeup classes or credits will not be offered if a student is absent due to inclement weather but the studio decides to still host class in person. When possible and age-group dependent, class may be held via Zoom, and/or a coach may offer a Zoom link to participate remotely in the event of severe weather.

Class CHANGES

Catapult Acting, LLC reserves the right to cancel or change class structure before a class/sesson starts due to coach/studio schedule changes, low enrollment or other reasons. Catapult will refund clients if a class is cancelled. Enrolled students/families will be contacted to discuss alternatives.

Our instructors are professional working actors, and sometimes they book work/projects last minute. Catapult makes every attempt to find suitable substitute instructors in this case. All of our subs are professional Catapult coaches, but in the extremely rare circumstance we cannot find a substitute, Catapult reserves the right to reschedule class to a later date or will provide a credit in the event we have to cancel.

Any decision made will be the decision for the class. Clients will not be able to receive credits or refunds if the solution Catapult employs for the group does not suit an individual, unless otherwise offered.

Trust and Respect Policy

We train as professionals – all ages all classes, camps, workshops and private appointments. We expect focus, kindness, and effort regardless of age or experience level. We expect students to arrive prepared, reading all details of all emails.

Catapult Acting Studios is committed to delivering a professional training experience within a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where every student can grow and thrive. We believe meaningful growth happens when students and instructors feel respected, supported, and focused.

To protect that environment, we maintain a zero-tolerance policy for disrespect, bullying, abusive behavior, or any conduct that creates disruption, fear, mistrust, or frustration for instructors or fellow students.

Students are expected to arrive prepared, listen to instructions, wait their turn patiently, and contribute positively to the class experience. These expectations help ensure that every actor in the room has the opportunity to learn, be seen, and do their best work.

If a student is unable to meet these expectations, they may be asked to step out of class. In cases where disruptive behavior continues and cannot be appropriately managed within the class setting, the student may be unenrolled. In such circumstances, tuition will not be credited or refunded, and re-enrollment may not be permitted until the student demonstrates readiness to participate successfully in a structured training environment.

We value open communication and partnership with families and encourage proactive conversations if additional support is needed.

By completing registration or purchasing any private appointments, students acknowledge and agree to uphold these standards.
