The Commercial Workshop was designed to allow the actor to work with a top commercial Casting Director and working commercial actor in an intimate setting. Workshop participants will learn the ins and outs of commercial auditioning and acting, and how the wild world of commercials specifically differs from TV/Film. This experience will focus on understanding the business of commercials, timing and energy of commercial acting, learning how you can incorporate improv into your commercial auditions, and much more.
John D’Aquino brings his 30+ years experience back to Catapult with FOUR brand new workshops, each designed to challenge actors in ways he/she hasn’t been challenged before. On Sunday, October 13th, John teaches How to Make Funny, The Magic Rectangle, + Active Discoveries on the 4th Wall. On Monday, October 14th, John will introduce a new masterclass: The Hospital Procedural Drama.
TKE will focus on three key attributes to achieving success as an actor: TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE and EXPOSURE. On day one, actors will train with Catapult founder + acting coach Erik Lingvall, sharpening scenes that they have prepared in advance. Erik will then break down how to maximize actors’ marketing materials, attain representation, and how to best approach the casting process. On the second day, actors will execute their scenes in front of two guest industry pros: an ATL agent (Announcing soon) and TJ Stein (LA manager).
Master teachers Richard Warner and Erica Arvold are continuing their conservatory-style Advanced Young Acting (AYA) intensive series! Specifically designed for Catapult’s serious youth actors who are looking to take a professional path in television and film (age 12 to 17), Developing Character Relationship is an 8-hour, 1-day intensive.
We are excited to welcome Casting Director Jami Rudofsky to Catapult this Fall. Actors will be honing on-camera audition skills with industry pro Jami Rudofsky (Gilmore Girls, Masters of Sex).
As a continuation of Catapult’s TV/Film Workshop Series in Alabama, this full-day intensive will take actors through the process of preparing for a scene, working a scene, and shooting a scene.
Catapult Acting, LLC has a 24 hour grace period in which clients can cancel their registration and receive a full refund. After 24 hours, a 10% cancellation fee will apply to all registrations. If the client chooses to cancel 15-21 days before the event, a 50% refund will be issued. If the registration is cancelled within 14 days of the event, 100% of the payment will be forfeited. There are no refunds for missed or dropped classes.
