SERVICE OVERVIEW

Demo Reels are the most effective and dynamic marketing tool to showcase an actor’s range and ability. Catapult edits the actor’s footage in a creative, compelling style, telling each actor’s individual story. It’s more than simply cutting footage together; the perfect demo reel shows off the diverse range of characters that an actor can play and leaves the viewer wanting more.

Catapult takes a personalized approach to each actor’s reel. Depending on the amount of footage and the overall body of work, Catapult can create different styles of reels, all designed to showcase the actor in their best light. Please complete the questionnaire below to get started!

TRADITIONAL STYLE DEMO REEL

Average Cost: $199-$249

This reel puts scenes together in a continuous, uninterrupted structure, allowing each scene to play out in its entirety before moving on to the next. Within each scene, moments that are unessential to the scene’s context are removed, including any unnecessary moments that do not highlight the actor. The scene is re-edited to ensure that the focus of the viewer is entirely on the actor, removing any dead-time or cutaways that take the attention away. This keeps the scene and reel coherent while simultaneously removing any moments, lines, shots, that do not serve the purpose of the reel: to showcase an actor’s ability and best work.

MONTAGE STYLE DEMO REEL

Average Cost: $299-$349

For actors with a large amount of footage, Catapult can create a demo reel that combines a montage sequence at the beginning with longer scenes at the end, resulting in a more creative, short-film style reel that compels and engages the audience. Its purpose is to allow almost all of the actor’s footage to be used without ending up with a reel that is 10 minutes long. This short montage sequence takes lines and moments from an actor’s work and cuts them together to showcase range, timing, diversity, and quantity. The beginning of the reel feels faster and entertaining, ultimately slowing down into the longer scenes to showcase the best scenes from an actor’s experience.
