Virtual TV/Film Community Forum

Catapult Acting Founder Erik Lingvall will be hosting a panel of leading TV/Film  professionals to give perspective and insight on how COVID-19 is affecting the entertainment industry. This online forum, held via ZOOM, will be an opportunity for connection, community and discussion in the midst of such change and uncertainty. Prior to and during this free 2-hour event, participants will be able to submit any questions regarding the current climate and the effects it has been having on our industry and how those whose livelihood depends on the TV/Film industry have been adapting.

Anthony Dalton

Working Actor
Anthony O. Dalton II was born July 1, 1980, in Indianapolis, IN, and is a rising young star in the field of acting. Anthony attended The University of Akron (Ohio) and played football during his time there. While in college, he began acting and modeling to make ends meet. After receiving his degree in Theatre, Anthony decided to move to Atlanta to pursue his acting career.
After only a short time in Atlanta, Anthony landed his breakout role as Officer Donnie Harris in Tyler Perry’s stage play, “Laugh to Keep from Crying”. Since then he has had numerous roles in television and film. In addition to acting, Anthony has appeared in music videos and advertising campaigns. He can be seen in shows such as Sistas (BET), The Paynes (2018), Saints & Sinners (2016) and Shots Fired (2017), Drop Dead Diva (Lifetime), The Vampire Diaries (CW), and many more. Film credits include Barbershop 3: The Next Cut, Single Moms Club, American Stories, and more.

Joy Pervis

Atlanta Talent Agent

Joy Pervis began her career in the entertainment industry 25 years ago in the Atlanta market when she created a talent agency specializing in young actors.  In 2007, her impeccable eye for talent and her years of discovering and building careers earned her a position as Head Talent Scout for the prestigious Osbrink Agency located in Los Angeles, CA. In 2009, she joined her daughter in-law, Jayme Pervis, at the J Pervis Talent Agency, recognized as one of the top talent agencies in the Southeast representing children and adults in all facets of the industry.

Joy is nationally recognized for discovering, developing, and/or representing actors such as Dakota Fanning, Raven Symone’, Nolan Gould (ABC’s Modern Family (2009–2019) ), Lucas Till (CBS’s MacGyver (2016–2019)), Shameik Moore (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018) , Grammy Nominees CHLOE X HALLE, Disney’s Navia Robinson, Algee Smith, Jacob Latimore and many more.

Caroline Slaughter

Director

Caroline graduated from the New School University and has worked in the industry as an actor, producer, casting director, agent, screenwriter and director. Her thorough understanding of story has benefited her in directing content for major brands such as Under Armour. Caroline feels a responsibility to tell the truth in her work with films that ignite conversation and champion change. Her most recent film LAMB is about the female assistants that led the victims to Weinstein’s hotel room.

Erica Arvold

Casting Director

Erica Arvold has been a guest instructor and speaker for over 20 years, sharing insights from a career as a casting director and producer that spans major studio films, television shows and multimedia projects. She has had the honor of collaborating with and serving students and faculty at universities, schools and acting studios across the country, including the University of Virginia, University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, Regent University, George Mason University, Longwood University, Savannah College of Art and Design, DramaInc, The Robert Mello Studio, The Actor’s Center of Asheville, Actor’s Arsenal, TRAIN/Cadence Theatre at Virginia Repertory, and The Renaissance School, among others. Her festival appearances as a panelist, moderator and mentor include the Austin Film Festival Screenwriters Conference, Virginia Film Festival, Richmond International Film Festival and the Independent Television Festival.

Olubajo Sonubi

Casting Director

Olubajo “Bajo” Sonubi hails originally from Lagos, Nigeria, but is extremely fortunate to call Atlanta home. Olubajo Sonubi is known for his work on Cobra Kai (2018), The Vampire Diaries (2009) and Legacies (2018). He received his MFA from Southern Methodist University and spent many years as an actor before becoming one of Atlanta’s top casting directors.

Sara Elizabeth Timmins

Producer

Sara Elizabeth Timmins established Life Out Loud Films in 2008 to create quality, inspiring impact films that champion women.  Her films have been seen on HBO, The Hallmark Channel, Starz, Showtime and in theatres. She has worked with talented actors such as Jane Seymour, Ellen Burstyn, Chris Cooper, Josh Lucas and Mackenzie Foy and NY Times Best Selling Author David Baldacci. Most recently, she produced an HBO docu-series for Mark Wahlberg’s company which premiered at Sundance 2020 and is in development on several feature films and series.  She also works as a consultant for both films and filmmakers and has produced national campaigns for companies like Meyer Natural Foods & Laura’s Lean. Sara Elizabeth believes she has a responsibility through film to spark conversations, that spark action, that spark change and remains dedicated to encouraging the work of talented writers and championing female leaders behind the camera while providing strong female roles on camera.

Erik Lingvall

Acting coach

Backstage.com contributor and winner of the Readers’ Choice for Atlanta’s Favorite Acting Coach in Backstage Magazine, Erik Lingvall brings with him over 15 years of experience guiding and training talent, throughout the country. As the founder of Catapult Acting Studios, Erik has established himself as one of the go-to coaches for tv/film actors in the Southeast. Originally from California, Erik currently resides in Atlanta, with his wife Jennifer and baby girl Venice. He is dedicated to guiding & connecting his clients to the right people & right path, always reminding his them to enjoy the process as much as the product at the end.
