You’re invited to our Virtual FREE Parent Seminar, hosted by Catapult coaches Jillian Batherson + Dexter Masland. This event was created for parents of young and teen performers interested in Catapult’s Summer Programs, from camps to classes and everything in between.

NOTE: This virtual seminar will be held virtually on Zoom and is open to parents of young performers across the country.

Jillian Batherson

Acting coach

Jillian Batherson grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana where she caught the acting bug at a young age. When she was 12 years old, Jillian was discovered in Karate class by a producer who invited her to audition for his film. That first on-set experience left an indelible impression and she has dedicated herself to the arts ever since.
In high school, Jillian followed in the footsteps of renowned actors Anthony Mackie and Wendell Pierce by studying theatre at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA). She graduated from the University of Southern California’s School of Dramatic Arts and attended the British American Drama Academy (BADA). Jillian is best known for her role as Caroline on Secrets of Sulphur Springs (DISNEY). Other credits include: American Horror Story (FX),The Haves and the Have Nots (OWN), Leverage: Redemption (IMDb TV) and The Lucky One. In addition to acting, Jillian enjoys working on the other side of the camera as a casting associate for tv, film, commercials and music videos.

With nearly a decade of coaching experience, Jillian has worked with hundreds of talented students of all ages and levels. Her passion for teaching has taken her all over the country and she is thrilled to have found a home in Atlanta with the Catapult family.

Dexter Masland

Acting coach

Dexter grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and did his first play at the age of 5. By 13, he was immersed in school musicals, acting camps and making films with his friends in his backyard. He continued acting throughout high school and college at The University of Southern California, where he received a B.A in Dramatic Arts and minored in The Critical Study of Film and Television. He continued his training at the renowned British American Drama Academy (BADA) in London. After completing that program, he returned to Los Angeles and began working as a professional actor and model.

During his 9 years in Los Angeles, he trained under the famous UCB Improv School, and studied under Hollywood’s top acting coaches. His first television appearance was on the hit Disney Channel show Dog With A Blog. He then went on to appear on the CW’s Golden Globe Award-Winning show Jane the Virgin. His most recent film, Double Belgian, won Best Narrative Feature at the Dumbo Film Festival in NY and was an Official Selection at the Manhattan Film Festival. Most importantly, his love of acting is contagious, and he is committed to helping other’s reach their greatest potential.
