VIRTUAL Filmmaking 101 | ages: 12-17
Geared towards teens, this workshop will teach the basics of making short films and feature films on a small to non-existent budget. Students will learn the filmmaking process from concept through production, giving them a thorough and well-rounded understanding of what needs to happen in order to make a film a reality.
• Defining the “Why”- Why this film, why me and why now?
• What is my story- 8 things to consider when writing or choosing your script to keep it affordable.
• How to create a pitch deck for potential donors or investors- even if only raising $5,000.
• How to pitch! (Student volunteers will be asked to pitch their ideas for pitch critique.)
• What do I need to shoot? Handling cast, crew, logistics, locations, legal permissions, permits, etc.
• Templates of basic agreements like NDAs, talent and location release forms.

Sara Elizabeth Timmins
InstructorSara Elizabeth Timmins established Life Out Loud Films in 2008 to create quality, inspiring impact films that champion women. Her films have been seen in theatres, HBO, The Hallmark Channel, Starz, Showtime and internationally. She has worked with talented actors like Jane Seymour, Ellen Burstyn, Chris Cooper, Josh Lucas and Mackenzie Foy and writers like NY Times Best Selling Author David Baldacci. Most recently, she field produced the HBO docu series McMillions for Mark Wahlberg’s company which premiered at Sundance 2020 and is in development on several feature films and series. She also works as a consultant for both films and filmmakers and has produced national campaigns for companies like Meyer Natural Foods & Laura’s Lean. Sara Elizabeth believes she has a responsibility through film to spark conversations, that spark action, that spark change. She is a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, SAG, both DGA & PGA eligible and was a Qualified Independent Producer for NBCUniversal/IFTA, She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Xavier University.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Catapult Acting, LLC has a 24 hour grace period in which clients can cancel their registration and receive a full refund. After 24 hours, a 10% cancellation fee will apply to all registrations. If the client chooses to cancel 15-21 days before the event, a 50% refund will be issued. If the registration is cancelled within 14 days of the event, 100% of the payment will be forfeited. There are no refunds for missed or dropped classes.
