AYA: Dynamic Character Preparation | ages: 10-18
For all levels of youth actors, ages 10-18, who seek a deep dive into an advanced curriculum, AYA: Dynamic Character Preparation is an immersion in character development through rigorous craft practice. Seasoned youth actors will develop, practice, and significantly expand their craft tools, and beginning youth actors will have an unique opportunity to learn how to put their best foot forward into their craft practice.
AYA: Dynamic Character Preparation is a deep sequential dive into each step of the Arvold Warner Total Preparation curriculum carried out over the span of six (6) classes within a six (6) week time frame. Each two (2) hour class contains nuanced analyzation and character development guided by the 10-step Total Preparation process presented in the Arvold Warner Studio’s core curriculum. AYA: Dynamic Character Preparation will be helmed by master teachers Lauren Buglioli and Evan Bergman.
Actors will work on one film/television scene (provided by AWS) throughout the six (6) weeks and develop an ability to make strong and bold choices while deepening craft skill and creating full and nuanced characters appropriate for auditioning and set work. AYA: Dynamic Character Preparation is not a scene study class; this offering is a preparation and character development course focused on the discovery and harnessing of one’s own craft tools and process.
Arvold Warner Studio’s Total Preparation curriculum was conceived and developed to help translate the classical study of Stanislavski and its derivatives into a practical and sensory process for the modern day film and television role.
arvold.education focuses on both the philosophical and pragmatic aspects of being a film artist.
