Sketch and Sitcom Class | ages: 12-17

This comedy course offers actors the opportunity to dive into sketch writing and sitcom acting! Actors will work on scripts from hit multicam and network sitcoms, learning the tools and techniques of this style of acting. Students will also write and act in their very own sketches! 

Class focal points:

– Creating ridiculous yet grounded characters
– Disney + Nickelodeon scenes
– Sketch shows such as SNL and ALL THAT
– Comedy techniques such as 180’s and the rule of 3’s
– How to “find the funny”
– Making bold choices in an audition
– Creating and heightening the “game” of a sketch

AGES: 12 – 17 (Advanced 10-11 year olds can be submitted for instructor approval)

WEEKDAY: Tuesdays starting January 19th

TIME: 7:15pm – 9:15pm

COMMITMENT:16 Weeks

INVESTMENT:$625/16 Weeks. Payment plans available.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Catapult Acting, LLC has a 24 hour grace period in which clients can cancel their registration and receive a full refund. After 24 hours, a 10% cancellation fee will apply to all registrations. If the client chooses to cancel 15-21 days before the event, a 50% refund will be issued. If the registration is cancelled within 14 days of the event, 100% of the payment will be forfeited. PLEASE NOTE: There are no refunds for missed, dropped or cancelled classes; should your schedule change once registered and within the cancellation policy.

In the event that “Shelter in Place” or another quarantine situation should take place, workshops + classes will continue virtually via Zoom. The cancellation policy above will still apply.
