Pilot Prep | Adults | DEC SESSION
Pilot Season is the time during which the majority of Network Pilots are cast in the beginning few months of each year. This workshop was designed to help actors maximize their potential with regard to training, marketing materials, educating themselves with the upcoming pilot season, and how to succeed during arguably the busiest time of the year.
Catapult is excited to welcome two highly experienced industry professionals, representing talent in Los Angeles (Shepard E. Smith, Archetype) and Atlanta (Corey Lawson, Privilege Talent). Two Industry pros will be part of Catapult’s two-day workshop, which will include scene preparation and on-camera work with two of Catapult’s coaches. Participants will execute scenes with feedback and participate in a Q&A with these top industry pros.
Actors will need to prepare a 1-2 page script (two characters max) that best showcases your acting ability. We will include a link to our scene database in the confirmation email. NOTE: Even though we are sending you scene options, we highly recommend finding a scene on your own, ideally one from a TV show or movie (vs a mock script someone wrote and shared on the internet). Should actors choose a scene that is more than two pages, please make the necessary edits to cut it down to the appropriate length for the purpose of the workshop. We advise selecting scenes with minimal-to-no graphic content or language. The goal should be to find a dynamic, well written scene that not only highlights your type and talent, but also excites you to make bold, fun choices!
Please arrive off book and bring two printed copies of your script each day.
