John D’Aquino brings his 30+ years experience back to Catapult with THREE of his classic youth workshops + ONE NEW MASTERCLASS, each designed to challenge actors in ways he/she hasn’t been challenged before. How to Make Funny
SUNDAY, October 13TH | 9AM-12PMThis is John’s signature comedy course that he’s taught for Disney Channel where he introduces the concept of creating a math formula … to make people laugh! Students will practice one-liners, three step jokes, list building ideas and 180/misdirections. Learn how to create the set-up, follow with the reinforcement and land the reversal. Students will also learn how substituting simple punctuations can change everything in comedies. Get ready to have your funny bone tickled and acting craft activated while learning the essential components of great comedic performances.

The Magic Rectangle
SUNDAY, October 13TH | 12:30-3:30PMDe-mystify acting for the camera with John’s simple math for delivering dynamic and indelible on-camera performances. John’s simple camera math technique will immediately improve student’s taped auditions by imposing structure on the imaginary canvas of the fourth wall that exists around the camera. This is a great place to start if you have not previously trained with John. This is one of John’s signature classes that he has taught in Hollywood and across America. MASTERCLASS: The Procedural Drama
MONDAY, October 14TH | 9:30AM-12:30PMThis master intensive will be focused on scene work for procedural dramas such as The Resident + NCIS. John will be utilizing his decades of experience to help these young actors set themselves apart from their competition. Please note this intensive is NOT for actors who are just getting started. This is for actors who are consistently auditioning and looking to really up their skills.
PREREQUISITE: a minimum of two classes taken with John previously required for students to take this course. Sunday sessions of the same weekend will qualify as classes.

LA Actor + Master CoachVeteran actor + master teacher John D’Aquino (Cory in the House, Shake it Up, CSI, Hannah Montana, Seinfeld) has starred in six TV series, recurred, + guest starred on dozens of hit TV shows in his 30 year career. His love for performing is surpassed only by his love for teaching, a love inspired by his mentor, teacher, + friend, Charles Nelson Riley, who instilled in his students a passion for helping actors create dynamic performances by reaching deep into the human spirit.
John teaches classes & private sessions in his studio in Burbank. He offers career consultations to actors who want to create a blueprint for success, using accountability & goal setting as a framework. He holds seminars, workshops and summer camps, and travels the country teaching his proven acting + audition techniques sharing his passion for acting with young students and their parents.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Catapult Acting, LLC has a 24 hour grace period in which clients can cancel their registration and receive a full refund. After 24 hours, a 10% cancellation fee will apply to all registrations. If the client chooses to cancel 15-21 days before the event, a 50% refund will be issued. If the registration is cancelled within 14 days of the event, 100% of the payment will be forfeited. There are no refunds for missed or dropped classes.
