Improv LAB | Youth 10-16

Improvisational Comedy – the ever-growing art form where the actors make up everything in the moment. Improv training is one of the most valuable assets you can possess as a TV/Film actor. This class will teach you how to listen, say YES, embrace uncomfortability and failure, and develop an awareness for comedic timing.

Class focal points:

• Improvisational Warm Up Games
• Exploring the 3 W’s: Who, What, Where
• How to build a scene from nothing
• Developing Sensitivity with a Scene Partner
• Character Exercises
• Game & Short Form Improvisation

CANCELLATION POLICY

Catapult Acting, LLC has a 24 hour grace period in which clients can cancel their registration and receive a full refund. After 24 hours, a 10% cancellation fee will apply to all registrations. If the client chooses to cancel 15-21 days before the event, a 50% refund will be issued. If the registration is cancelled within 14 days of the event, 100% of the payment will be forfeited. PLEASE NOTE: There are no refunds for missed, dropped or cancelled classes; should your schedule change once registered and within the cancellation policy.

Casey Navarro

Originally from Beavercreek Ohio, Casey is a seasoned stand-up, sketch, and improv comedy performer/writer. She spent 5 years touring with Second City Chicago and was recently waitlisted for SNL writer. Before moving to Atlanta from LA, she taught at the Groundlings School and was head Joke Writer for three separate Party Games. She is also a playwright, joining artists like Lily Tomlin and Sigourney Weaver as an Artist in Residency at Saint Mary’s College where she wrote and directed her first full-length, multi-media dark comedy about violence against women called LUCKY LIAR LOSER. Before the pause button was pressed, Casey had just completed a stand-up tour in Europe and spent 4 months at sea performing comedy on NCL’s Breakaway. You can also catch her on a few commercials spots for brands like Big Lots and Ally Bank.
