The objective of Camp FUNdamentals is to film a scene with each student “self-tape style.” These scenes will be handed out on Day 1 and worked on each day. Carole Kaboya was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo but grew up in metro Atlanta. She studied Theatre Performance and Music Business at the University of Georgia. It was there that her passion for TV and film truly developed. After graduating, Carole worked with Adult Swim on various marketing tours around the country as she continued to work as an actress. Carole’s on-camera work include appearances on Daytime Divas (VH1) and a recurring role on Cobra Kai (YouTube Red). In 2013, she began her journey in the casting world and has since worked as a Casting Associate for various film and tv projects for Netflix, Sony, Warner Brothers, CBS Studios and many more. As an Actress, Casting Associate, Writer, and Photographer, Carole has been able to benefit from her experience working in front of and behind the camera. Dexter grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and did his first play at the age of 5. By 13, he was immersed in school musicals, acting camps and making films with his friends in his backyard. He continued acting throughout high school and college at The University of Southern California, where he received a B.A in Dramatic Arts and minored in The Critical Study of Film and Television. He continued his training at the renowned British American Drama Academy (BADA) in London. After completing that program, he returned to Los Angeles and began working as a professional actor and model. During his 9 years in Los Angeles, he trained under the famous UCB Improv School, and studied under Hollywood’s top acting coaches. His first television appearance was on the hit Disney Channel show Dog With A Blog. He then went on to appear on the CW’s Golden Globe Award-Winning show Jane the Virgin. His most recent film, Double Belgian, won Best Narrative Feature at the Dumbo Film Festival in NY and was an Official Selection at the Manhattan Film Festival. Most importantly, his love of acting is contagious, and he is committed to helping other’s reach their greatest potential.
Originally from Arkansas, Grace began acting in community theatre at the age of eight and always had a fascination with the film industry. That fascination turned into a dream and in 2012 she moved to Los Angeles for an internship with casting director Elizabeth Barnes. She assisted in the casting of projects such as ABC’s Revenge, CBS’ Macgyver, and several other pilots and independent films. Grace studied at the Joanne Baron/DW Brown Studio for Meisner technique and training in Santa Monica, CA, and graduated from the two-year program summer of 2014. After living and auditioning in LA for five years, she moved to Atlanta to continue her journey! Grace is now the Marketing Coordinator here at Catapult, and you can catch her on Netflix’s, GLOW, and season 3 of ABC’s American Crime.
