Camp Catapult is Catapult Acting’s signature event that combines rigorous scene work, improv and mindset exercises with hands-on industry perspectives. Instructed by Catapult Acting Founder, Erik Lingvall, this 5-day intensive covers every aspect of the audition process. In addition to comprehensive audition technique, actors will receive insight and critical feedback from a different industry pro each day ranging from Agents to Managers to Producers to Directors and more.

NOTE: This is a referral/approval-based camp. This camp is for dedicated and disciplined young actors. Experience is not important, but rather the willingness to challenge one’s self.

DAY 1: Vivian Watson


– Know the genre
– Know the director & their work
– Know the network
– Learn how to slate with confidence and personality!
– Work on one-line costar auditions


Vivian Watson is an actor and a member of the Catapult family. She is best known for her portrayal of Mallory on the Netflix show Baby-Sitters Club, in which she became a series regular in the second season. She was also in the short film The Quarateens and was a voice over actor on the animated children’s show Chuggington.


DAY 2: Lina Ramirez-Mills


– Break down a scene as a group to learn scene work + audition preparation technique
-Apply script analysis technique to a cold read!


Lina Ramirez-Mills is the Head of Commercial at People Store. She joined People Store in 2018 as an intern, then shortly joined the team as a Film & TV Assistant, the Office Manager, Commercial Agent and now Head of the Commercial Department. She is excited to continue developing her love for the entertainment industry by being an advocate for actors at Atlanta’s premier talent agency. Lina has always been passionate about the entertainment industry and decided to leave a career in Property Management in order to finish her degree in Film & Media Production at Georgia State University. Her interest includes music, dancing and spending time with her loved ones.


DAY 3: Jessica Fox


– Deep dive into scene work with coaches
-Actors execute their scene for the industry pro

about THE Casting director

As Owner of Fox Casting, Jessica Fox-Thigpen specializes in casting scripted projects for film, television, commercials, and now, scripted podcasts, with the soon-to-be-released There Be Monsters starring John Boyega and Darren Criss. Other projects include over 120 combined episodes of the hit TV series’ Swamp Murders, Your Worst Nightmare, Dead Silent, To Catch a Killer, Live to Tell and recent feature films to include His Killer Fan, A Totally Awesome 80’s Christmas, A Unicorn for Christmas and Home Safe.


DAY 4: Keri Maletto


-Actors film their scenes in Catapult’s taping rooms
-Tapes are reviewed with a an industry professional
-Actors perform the scene a second time after receiving feedback from the CD

about THE producer

Keri Maletto is an actor and producer who has also been a guest host on live TV (HSN) since 2010. Keri is currently producing a short film in Atlanta called The Jump. She also has an Amazon series called So Dark. Her story is one of perseverance and not being afraid to work both in front and behind the camera. Her first two network bookings found her role on the cutting room floor, so she can speak to both the disappointments and the high points of the TV and Film Industry.


DAY 5: Daniel Stine


– Actors execute their scene in front of director like a real callback


Daniel Stine is an Atlanta-based writer, director and actor. A 2008 graduate of the University of North Carolina-Greensboro’s film school, Daniel wrote, directed and appeared in 3 award-winning short films (God and Vodka, Grape, The Championship Rounds,) prior to releasing his debut feature, Virginia Minnesota (releasing in 2019). Collectively, his films have appeared in more than 60 film festivals, garnering nearly 45 awards in multiple categories, including Best Film, Best Short Film, Audience Choice Award, Best Director and Best Screenplay among others.

Outside of his main film production company, Rushaway Pictures, Daniel also founded a non-profit organization focusing on developing film and digital content that promotes universal awareness and celebrates the life-changing impact of charitable causes around the world.

Erik Lingvall

Acting Coach

Backstage.com contributor and winner of the Readers’ Choice for Atlanta’s Favorite Acting Coach in Backstage Magazine, Erik Lingvall brings with him over 15 years of experience guiding and training talent, throughout the country. As the founder of Catapult Acting Studios, Erik has established himself as one of the go-to coaches for tv/film actors in the Southeast. Originally from California, Erik currently resides in Atlanta, with his wife Jennifer and baby girl Venice. He is dedicated to guiding & connecting his clients to the right people & right path, always reminding his them to enjoy the process as much as the product at the end. Catapult Acting, LLC has a 24 hour grace period in which clients can cancel their registration and receive a full refund. After 24 hours, a 10% cancellation fee will apply to all registrations. If the client chooses to cancel 15-21 days before the event, a 50% refund will be issued. If the registration is cancelled within 14 days of the event, 100% of the payment will be forfeited. PLEASE NOTE: There are no refunds for missed, dropped or cancelled classes; should your schedule change once registered and within the cancellation policy.

In the event that “Shelter in Place” or another quarantine situation should take place, workshops + classes will continue virtually via Zoom. The cancellation policy above will still apply.
