CAMP CATAPULT: THE AUDITION COMPREHENSIVE

Camp Catapult is Catapult Acting’s signature event that combines scene work, improv and mindset exercises with hands-on industry perspectives. Instructed by Catapult Acting Founder, Erik Lingvall, this 5-day intensive covers every aspect of the audition process. In addition to comprehensive audition technique, actors will receive insight and critical feedback from a different industry pro each day ranging from Agents to Managers to Producers to Directors and more.

about THE WORKING ACTOR

Lauren was born in Los Angeles, CA, where her career in entertainment began as a toddler. After relocating to London, England, where she spent her middle and high school years, she worked in the UK in film, television, radio and theatre. She further developed her craft studying at LAMDA, NYU, Stella Adler, Lee Strasberg, Lesly Kahn, Arvold Warner Studio and UCB, amongst others. Her credits include Florida Man, Queens, Dynasty, First Wives Club, White Elephant, Vendetta, Tyler Perry’s A Jazzman’s Blues, Cinnamon, and Bad Monkey for Apple TV+. Lauren is passionate about working with actors on their auditions and mindset to foster a love of the creative process and equip them with tools and resources to feel empowered and inspired while navigating the industry. Most notably, Lauren adopted two very cute dogs, Vixen and Beverly Hills Cop II and she will be thrilled if you ask to see a photo of them. IG: lauren_buglioli

ABOUT THE CASTING DIRECTOR

Clifton is an Atlanta casting director, director, teacher and the head of the film and TV division of Big Picture Casting, where he casts union and non-union film, tv, and animation. A member of Casting Society of America, he has cast over 100 professional plays and musicals in metro Atlanta over a (thus far) twenty year career. Clifton formerly served as the Alliance Theatre’s Artistic Assistant, as Casting Director and Producer in Residence at Actor’s Express, and as Associate Artistic Director of Theatrical Outfit. Clifton also sits on the Advisory Committee for The Georgia High School Musical Theatre Awards (The Shulers) and is an Arts Leaders of Metro Atlanta alumnus. Clifton has directed locally with Alliance Theatre, The Atlanta Opera, Theatrical Outfit, and Jennie T. Anderson Theatre. As a former actor, Clifton appeared Off-Broadway, at many top regional theatres, and on numerous local stages. He can be seen in several Atlanta-filmed movies, TV shows and commercials. Clifton holds a BA in Drama from the University of Georgia and an MFA in Performing Arts from the Savannah College of Art and Design.

ABOUT THE Filmmaker/Producer

Erika Miranda is a Mexican/Norwegian actor, producer and director based in Atlanta, GA. She received her BFA from The Theater School at DePaul University (Chicago, IL). She pursued additional training from London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and Upright Citizens Brigade (New York City, NY). Erika is the Founder of Cafecito Productions and an Executive Producer for SheATL, an offshoot of the SheNYC Arts Initiative. Cafecito Production’s first film, Mi Casa, won HBO’s Latinx Short Film competition in 2021, where Erika was also nominated for Best Actress in a Drama. Mi Casa is now available to view on all HBO platforms. Since then, Cafecito Productions has made four other films which have appeared in festivals such as Palm Springs Short Fest, Cucalorus Festival, Cleveland International Festival, FilmQuest and more. She is represented by Taylor DeThomas at Alexander White Agency. Erika’s accolades include being the recipient of: Talent Scholarship at DePaul (3 of 3 eligible years), Suzi Bass Award for Best Ensemble in the Wolves (2019),Diverse Women in Film NALIP (2020), Winner of HBO Short Film Award (2021),   Winner of GA Film Impact Grant (2022).

Backstage.com contributor and winner of the Readers’ Choice for Atlanta’s Favorite Acting Coach in Backstage Magazine, Erik Lingvall brings with him over 15 years of experience guiding and training talent, throughout the country. As the founder of Catapult Acting Studios, Erik has established himself as one of the go-to coaches for tv/film actors in the Southeast. Originally from California, Erik currently resides in Atlanta, with his wife Jennifer and baby girl Venice. He is dedicated to guiding & connecting his clients to the right people & right path, always reminding his them to enjoy the process as much as the product at the end. Jillian Batherson

Jillian Batherson was raised in New Orleans, LA, graduated from The University of Southern California and was classically trained at The British American Drama Academy. She has studied on-camera technique with some of the top coaches in Los Angeles and across the country. Some of her credits include Disney’s Secrets of Sulphur Springs, FX’s American Horror Story and ABC’s The Astronaut Wives Club. As a coach, Jillian endeavors to bring out the confidence, creativity and commitment in every student!

CANCELLATION POLICY

Catapult Acting, LLC has a 24 hour grace period in which clients can cancel their registration and receive a full refund. After 24 hours, a 10% cancellation fee will apply to all registrations. If the client chooses to cancel 15-21 days before the event, a 50% refund will be issued. If the registration is cancelled within 14 days of the event, 100% of the payment will be forfeited. PLEASE NOTE: There are no refunds for missed, dropped or cancelled classes; should your schedule change once registered and within the cancellation policy.

In the event that “Shelter in Place” or another quarantine situation should take place, workshops + classes will continue virtually via Zoom. The cancellation policy above will still apply.
