CAMP CATAPULT: THE AUDITION COMPREHENSIVE
Camp Catapult is Catapult Acting’s signature event that combines rigorous scene work, improv and mindset exercises with hands-on industry perspectives. Instructed by Catapult Acting Founder, Erik Lingvall, this 5-day intensive covers every aspect of the audition process. In addition to comprehensive audition technique, actors will receive insight and critical feedback from a different industry pro each day ranging from Agents to Managers to Producers to Directors and more.
NOTE: This is a referral/approval-based camp. This camp is for dedicated and disciplined young actors. Experience is not important, but rather the willingness to challenge one’s self.

about THE WORKING ACTOR
Will Buie Jr., a native of Atlanta, is known for his role on Disney Channel’s hit show “BUNK’D.” Prior to landing the role of Finn Sawyer, Buie guest starred on “Modern Family” and had a recurring role as Brad Jr./Ella on “Daytime Divas.” He also appeared in the Netflix film “In the Tall Grass,” based on the short story by Stephen King and Joe King. Buie loves learning about cars and is a whiz with almost all makes and models.

about THE Talent Agent
Render is the most recent addition to PLAY’s Atlanta branch. The Georgia native is a graduate of the University of Louisville in Kentucky. After graduation he worked in legal with a law office and also briefly in film distribution. He quickly switched to entertainment management, where he then worked on both the literary and talent side of representation, with managers at Thruline Entertainment and Beverly Strong at Strong Management in Los Angeles. Now with Atlanta currently being one of the main production centers of the film industry, his dedication and experience from the LA market is helping build the newest branch of Play in Atlanta, with Play Partner Trina Allen-Abt

Jessica Talley is the managing partner of Aligned Stars Agency. She purchased the company in January of 2020 after working with the agency for 3 years. She oversaw the commercial and theatrical dept, and then started the first SAG franchised dance division in the Southeast. She brings her background of sales and marketing experience to this industry. She is passionate about client service, professionalism, and working with artists of all skills and backgrounds to help them reach their full potential.

Harriet Greenspan, CSA, is an award-winning casting director, acting coach, show business mentor, and author. Since 1993, she has cast over 265 Episodics, 20 TV movies, and 18 Feature films including Alex & Me, Mean Girls 2, A Cinderella Story: Starstruck, Cats & Dogs 3: Paws Unite, True Jackson, VP, among many others.
DAY 5: Shaun MacLeanTHE CALLBACK
– Actors execute their scene in front of director like a real callback

With Shaun also being a professional screen and stage actor, Shaun has a knack for the production side of filmmaking. He has produced and cast five different short films, directed commercial work for international businesses, and will be directing his first short film this summer starring Atlanta talent Jayson Warner Smith. He interned at one of the largest talent agencies in the Southeast, gaining invaluable insight behind the scenes of casting. His most recent project, the feature film High Expectations, had a nationwide theatrical release where he worked alongside Kelsey Grammer and Taylor Gray. Shaun has appeared on Wandavision, Turn: Washington’s Spies, Dynasty, and more, including two SAG-AFTRA national commercials with Shaquille O’Neal. He was a 2017-2018 acting Apprentice at Horizon Theatre and, in 2019 alone, he performed in six professional plays around Atlanta. He attributes a lot of his acting success to the last seven years of consistent study with Meisner-based acting teacher, Rick Andosca. Constantly working on your craft is key! His practical experience on both sides of the camera gives Shaun a unique skill set and perspective that he is excited to share with the next generation of Atlanta talent! Shaun was born and raised right up the road in Norcross, Georgia.

Backstage.com contributor and winner of the Readers’ Choice for Atlanta’s Favorite Acting Coach in Backstage Magazine, Erik Lingvall brings with him over 15 years of experience guiding and training talent, throughout the country. As the founder of Catapult Acting Studios, Erik has established himself as one of the go-to coaches for tv/film actors in the Southeast. Originally from California, Erik currently resides in Atlanta, with his wife Jennifer and baby girl Venice. He is dedicated to guiding & connecting his clients to the right people & right path, always reminding his them to enjoy the process as much as the product at the end. Erik’s motto: “Professional training, designed to create better people.” Below are a few of the projects Erik’s clients can be seen in projects like: The Walking Dead, Manhunt: Unabomber, Modern Family, Disney’s Bunk’d, Dog with a Blog & Kickin’ It, FOX’s The Gifted, Nashville, The Hate U Give,Maze Runner, Noah, Daddy’s Home, The Big Short, Terminator Genisys, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, and many more.
Jillian Batherson was raised in New Orleans, LA, graduated from The University of Southern California and was classically trained at The British American Drama Academy. She has studied on-camera technique with some of the top coaches in Los Angeles and across the country. Some of her credits include Disney’s Secrets of Sulphur Springs, FX’s American Horror Story and ABC’s The Astronaut Wives Club. As a coach, Jillian endeavors to bring out the confidence, creativity and commitment in every student!

Catapult Acting, LLC has a 24 hour grace period in which clients can cancel their registration and receive a full refund. After 24 hours, a 10% cancellation fee will apply to all registrations. If the client chooses to cancel 15-21 days before the event, a 50% refund will be issued. If the registration is cancelled within 14 days of the event, 100% of the payment will be forfeited. PLEASE NOTE: There are no refunds for missed, dropped or cancelled classes; should your schedule change once registered and within the cancellation policy.
In the event that “Shelter in Place” or another quarantine situation should take place, workshops + classes will continue virtually via Zoom. The cancellation policy above will still apply.
