CAMP CATAPULT:
THE AUDITION COMPREHENSIVE
Camp Catapult is Catapult Acting’s signature event that combines rigorous intensive scene study instructed by award-winning coaches with first-person industry perspective. This 5 day intensive covers every aspect of the audition process. In addition to being instructed by our wonderful, challenging coaches; actors will receive instruction from a different industry pro each day ranging from Agents to Managers to Casting Directors to Directors and more.
NOTE: This camp is not for the hobbyist. Experience is not important, but rather willingness to challenge one’s self.

about THE WORKING ACTOR
Jessica Miesel is an actress, singer, cat lady, and professional weirdo. Maybe you’ve seen her on various stages throughout Atlanta: Aurora Theatre, Actors Express, Serenbe Playhouse, Theatrical Outfit…to name a few. You can also catch her as Nurse Jessica Moore on FOX’s “The Resident” or as Allison on USA’s “The Purge”. Other credits include Office Christmas Party, OWN’s “Greenleaf”, truTV’s “Bobcat Goldthwait’s Misfits and Monsters”, AMC’s “Halt and Catch Fire” and upcoming films Virginia Minnesota and The Best of Enemies. Jessica is represented by J Pervis in Atlanta and LINK Entertainment in Los Angeles.

As the founder of Catapult Acting Studios, Erik has established himself as one of the go-to coaches for TV/film actors in the Southeast. He is dedicated to guiding & connecting his clients to the right people & right path, always reminding them to enjoy the process as much as the end product.



DAY 3: JACOB LAWSON

Jacob graduated from the University of Georgia in 2011 and began working for Privilege Talent Agency shortly after it’s inception in 2013. After working under the original owner for two years, Jacob took over ownership of the company in 2015, at which point Corey began working for the agency. Since then, Privilege has focused on maintaining a boutique sized roster focusing on their actors as individuals; encouraging constant training with the goal of pushing local and regional talent to develop into artists that are ready to compete on a national level.

Meghan Apostoles is a casting associate at arvold. In addition to her work casting film, television and commercial projects, she acts as production manager on arvold. productions, assists with education events and helms arvold.’s Atlanta office. She began as an extras casting assistant on Meg Ryan’s Ithaca and has since worked on AMC’s TURN: Washington’s Spies, Jeff Nichols’s Loving, and many other features, commercials and short form multimedia projects. She loves educating young actors and has taught at the Virgina Repertory Theatre’s TRAIN Pre-Professional Actor Training program and DMR Adventures.



DAY 5: CAROLINE SLAUGHTER
THE CALLBACK– Execute your scene in front of Top Director like a real callback
about THE director
Caroline feels a responsibility to tell the truth in her work with content that impacts, raising awareness around social issues to ignite conversation and champion change. Caroline graduated from the New School University and launched her career in the industry as a performer in New York. She went on to perform and produce New York and London theater collaborating with writers like Beau Willimon (House of Cards), Elizabeth Meriwether (New Girl), Billy Eichner (Difficult People) and with institutions that include LAByrinth Theater Company, The Public and The Flea. Caroline made the transition to writing working on sketch comedy with Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles, which led to co-writing a screenplay with Jay Lavender (The Break-Up) and developing the pilot FALSIES with FX Networks. A move to Atlanta led to a commercial casting stint that developed into a commercial directing career with brands that include Meyer Natural Foods, Pellegrino and Georgia Pacific. Caroline’s award- winning short film LAMB about the female assistants who led the victims to Harvey Weinstein’s hotel room is on the festival circuit and being used as a vehicle to support the women’s movement.

JULIA JONES
INSTRUCTORJulia Jones is a professional actor, coach, and improvisor in Atlanta GA. Her clients at Catapult Acting can be seen on Disney, Nickelodeon, Netflix, HBO, and many more. Her latest projects include a National Cartoon Network Commercial, a parody short for Funny or Die, and a pilot shot in NYC with Tony Award Winning Actor Dan Fogler (Fantastic Beasts). She is a professional improvisor & instructor at The Village Theatre (named Best Comedy Club – Atlanta Magazine & Best Improv Comedy – Creative Loafing).
Carole Kaboya
CO-INSTRUCTORCarole Kaboya is a UGA Theatre Alum who has worked professionally in the thriving film & TV industry in Atlanta. Carole’s on-camera appearances include Daytime Divas (VH1) & a recurring role on Cobra Kai (YouTube Red). She has also worked as a Casting Associate for various film and TV projects for Netflix, Sony, Warner Brothers and more. Carole uses her skills as an Actor and Casting Associate to give her students a well-rounded learning experience so they can tap into their potential greatness.
