THE AUDITION COMPREHENSIVE

Camp Catapult is Catapult Acting’s signature event that combines rigorous intensive scene study instructed by award-winning coaches with first-person industry perspective. This 5 day intensive covers every aspect of the audition process. In addition to being instructed by our wonderful, challenging coaches; actors will receive instruction from a different industry pro each day ranging from Agents to Managers to Casting Directors to Directors and more.

NOTE: This camp is not for the hobbyist. Experience is not important, but rather willingness to challenge one’s self.

about THE WORKING ACTOR

Jessica Miesel is an actress, singer, cat lady, and professional weirdo. Maybe you’ve seen her on various stages throughout Atlanta: Aurora Theatre, Actors Express, Serenbe Playhouse, Theatrical Outfit…to name a few. You can also catch her as Nurse Jessica Moore on FOX’s “The Resident” or as Allison on USA’s “The Purge”. Other credits include Office Christmas Party, OWN’s “Greenleaf”, truTV’s “Bobcat Goldthwait’s Misfits and Monsters”, AMC’s “Halt and Catch Fire” and upcoming films Virginia Minnesota and The Best of Enemies. Jessica is represented by J Pervis in Atlanta and LINK Entertainment in Los Angeles.

As the founder of Catapult Acting Studios, Erik has established himself as one of the go-to coaches for TV/film actors in the Southeast. He is dedicated to guiding & connecting his clients to the right people & right path, always reminding them to enjoy the process as much as the end product.

Jacob graduated from the University of Georgia in 2011 and began working for Privilege Talent Agency shortly after it’s inception in 2013. After working under the original owner for two years, Jacob took over ownership of the company in 2015, at which point Corey began working for the agency. Since then, Privilege has focused on maintaining a boutique sized roster focusing on their actors as individuals; encouraging constant training with the goal of pushing local and regional talent to develop into artists that are ready to compete on a national level.

about THE casting associate

Cheryl has been Casting for over 20 years. She is a graduate of Marymount College, Tarrytown, NY with a BA in Drama & English. Cheryl attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London, England and Carnegie-Mellon University. She began her journey in casting as an Associate at The Casting Directors, Inc. and then moved on to in-house casting for Miami Vice with Lori Wyman. After Vice wrapped, she opened The Casting Crew, Inc. in Hollywood, FL and was President/Owner there for 10 years. A highlight of her career was winning a CLIO Award for Casting Excellence for a Pepsi Commercial. Cheryl moved to the Atlanta area in 2000, and loves actors and the entire casting process.

DAY 5: DANIEL STEIN

about THE director

Daniel Stine is an Atlanta-based writer, director and actor.  A 2008 graduate of the University of North Carolina-Greensboro’s film school, Daniel wrote, directed and appeared in 3 award-winning short films (God and Vodka, Grape, The Championship Rounds,) prior to releasing his debut feature, Virginia Minnesota (releasing in 2019).  Collectively, his films have appeared in more than 60 film festivals, garnering nearly 45 awards in multiple categories, including Best Film, Best Short Film, Audience Choice Award, Best Director and Best Screenplay among others.

JULIA JONES

INSTRUCTOR

Julia Jones is a professional actor, coach, and improvisor in Atlanta GA. Her clients at Catapult Acting can be seen on Disney, Nickelodeon, Netflix, HBO, and many more. Her latest projects include a National Cartoon Network Commercial, a parody short for Funny or Die, and a pilot shot in NYC with Tony Award Winning Actor Dan Fogler (Fantastic Beasts). She is a professional improvisor & instructor at The Village Theatre (named Best Comedy Club – Atlanta Magazine & Best Improv Comedy – Creative Loafing).

CARRIE ANNE HUNT

CO-INSTRUCTOR

Carrie Anne Hunt is an actress and filmmaker originally from Columbia, SC. In addition to acting, Carrie Anne is also the founder of Faerie Path Productions, where she is currently developing her own content for a fantasy adventure series. She also regularly works as a producer, writer, and director, helping other filmmakers to realize their creative visions. As an acting coach, Carrie Anne is committed to helping each individual performer find their light and shine.
