The first two days will be 7 hours of focused script work, dedicated to improving audition prep, script analysis, and character breakdown. On the third day, each actor will rotate between three rooms here at Catapult, executing their scenes back to back to back for a Top LA Agent (in person), Top Casting Director (in person), and Top LA Pro (via Skype.) Most actors prep their scene, go in the room, and audition once. Actors never execute their scenes three times in a row… Until now.

Kimberly Wistedt

ATL CASTING Associate, CSA > Fincannon & Associates

While stage managing many of the mainstage productions at the University of Florida, Kimberly became fascinated with the process of an actor attaining a role. She sat in every audition alongside the director – hearing his thoughts and reactions to the talent at hand.  This was the beginning of her journey into casting!  After her junior year of college, Kimberly spent the summer in New York City interning for the renowned Broadway casting director Tara Rubin.  Post graduation, she moved back to New York City to intern for casting powerhouse, Bernard Telsey of Telsey + Company casting.  Later, as the commercial casting apprentice, she ran sessions for such companies as Apple, Macy’s, and Target.  When the city life kept her too far from family and loved ones, Kimberly decided to make the move back to her home town of Atlanta to take part in the television and film industry boom in the Southeast. She’s been with Fincannon & Associates since February of 2013, and is thrilled for what’s to come in this bustling Atlanta market!

This is Kimberly’s second year as co-casting director alongside Lisa Mae Fincannon for AMC’s The Walking Dead, and she’s excited to also be co-casting director on TWD’s new spin-off, The Walking Dead III shooting in Richmond later this summer. Other associate casting director TV & film credits include: HBO’s The Righteous Gemstones, HULU’s The Act, FOX’s The Resident, AMAZON’s Lore, AMC’s Halt & Catch Fire, Mile 22, Jurassic World, Dirty Grandpa, Triple Nine, & Furious 7 to name a few.
