    This class is for the actor with little to no film/TV experience. This course will focus on the basics of on-camera acting and provide the tools necessary to bring characters to life on screen. Students will build a foundation of knowledge including the basics of cinematic storytelling, the audition process, and the history of on-camera acting. Students will learn by doing through weekly rehearsal and by shooting on camera scenes with other actors.

  • Cast Yourself: Audition Technique for TV and Film

    • FRI | CLIFTON GUTERMAN: MAR 25 | 1-4PM

    In this course, actors will dissect and demystify the on-camera auditioning process with one of Atlanta’s most experienced casting directors (and former actor). Expect tips on how to create dynamic, personal, and active self tapes or in-person call backs with clear, active choices, grounded in truth. We will also cover everything “outside of the acting” from industry standard lighting, sound, to backgrounds and much more. Slates and cold reads will also be explored, and we’ll have time each week for a general Q&A.

    On-Camera intermediate explores the individual needs of each actor to instill confidence in preparation and performance. Through script analysis, improv, self-tapes and constructive feedback, actors will be pushed creatively and encouraged to try new techniques and take risks in a supportive environment!

  • ADULT TV/Film Scene Study | INTERMEDIATE

    • SUN | JARED WOFFORD: MAR 20 | 6:15-9:15pm

    TV/Film Scene Study is a scene study workout for the serious + experienced actor. Actors will workshop scenes that will challenge them to strive for a deeper, more complex understanding of their characters + their behavior, with the goal of becoming stronger, more confident storytellers. Actors will perform and take direction each week with the focus on rehearsal and collaboration, not instruction. Professional Film/TV/Theatre experience required.

  • ACTORS LAB | ADVANCED | ONGOING

    • SAT | DIANA LOVELL: FEB 5 (Ongoing) | 1-4PM

    Advanced Actors Lab is an ongoing scene study and audition technique class designed for the serious + experienced actor who is looking to sharpen their craft and workout with other like minded creatives. Actors will workshop scenes that will challenge them to strive for a deeper, more complex understanding of their characters + their behavior, with the goal of becoming stronger, more confident storytellers. Actors will perform and take direction each week with the focus on rehearsal and collaboration, not just instruction. Professional Film/TV/Theatre experience/training required. This ongoing class with a two month commitment to start, is designed for the working actor looking to continually strengthen their craft. (think of it as a gym membership for your acting muscle). After the first two months, there will be a recurring monthly charge for the class.

  • CANCELLATION POLICY

    Catapult Acting, LLC has a 24 hour grace period in which clients can cancel their registration and receive a full refund. After 24 hours, a 10% cancellation fee will apply to all registrations. If the client chooses to cancel 15-21 days before the event, a 50% refund will be issued. If the registration is cancelled within 14 days of the event, 100% of the payment will be forfeited. PLEASE NOTE: There are no refunds for missed, dropped or cancelled classes; should your schedule change once registered and within the cancellation policy.

    In the event that “Shelter in Place” or another quarantine situation should take place, workshops + classes will continue virtually via Zoom. The cancellation policy above will still apply.
